It's 1883. Three friends are trying their best to navigate the chaos of their 20s. Marianne wants to be taken seriously. Emma wants to find a husband. Hattie wants to get drunk. When awful aristocrat Chester arrives in town, appearing to hold the keys to all their dreams, they decide the only reasonable plan of attack is to host a fake séance to trick him into helping them.
