About:
Everyone who has seen The BBC's First Homosexual and/or is involved in Scottish LGBTQ+ campaigns is invited to join its director and cast to discuss the play, its basis in historical events and the contemporary resonances of its themes of gay identities and civil rights in the face of conversion practices and homophobia.
This free event is part of the Re-viewing LGBTQ+ Lives project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and UKRI's Impact Acceleration Fund and Loughborough University and is suitable for people aged 16+. Information about future events happening in London and online this autumn can be found at reviewinglgbtqlives.wordpress.com.
