Soul Water Sauna
All persons using the sauna, do so at their own risk.
If you have any reservations regarding sauna use, such as medical conditions, underlying health problems, the use of prescription drugs or pregnancy, it is essential that you consult your GP before making a booking.
Sauna etiquette & safe behaviour must always be adhered to.
This includes:
* Children aged 13+ are allowed in SWS Community Saunas when accompanied at a ratio of 1:2
* Children age 16 or under must never be left alone in the sauna.
* Children under the age of 6 are sadly not permitted.
* Removing shoes / flip flops prior to entering the sauna.
* Entering and exiting the sauna in a safe manner.
* Keeping access points clear to allow other users to exit safely and swiftly if needed.
* To prevent burning, jewellery should be removed before entering the sauna.
* You must sit on a clean towel.
* Sauna sessions of no longer than 20 min at a time (SWS’ recommend 5 – 12mins, before going outside to cool down).
* Not touching any part of the stove / stove cage or rocks.
* Alcohol, nudity and smoking are not permitted in the sauna.
* Following SWS instructions on how to pour water onto hot rocks.
* Only pouring the provided ‘sauna water’ on hot rocks. Nothing else.
Soul Water Sauna takes no responsibility for the damage or loss of customers' property.
All persons using a body of water as a ‘cold plunge’ do so at their own risk.If you are making this booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to make all users aware of the terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna use.
SWS reserves the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons or for other reasons that may be deemed a health and safety risk.
Visit Rules (families)
* For insurance reasons, children are not allowed to use the cold-water plunge However, watering cans and buckets for splashing face and body will be provided to aid cooling.
* Children must be accompanied at all times, this applies inside and outside the sauna.
* Children are not allowed to add water to the stove because of the risk of burning from the steam rising.
* The responsible adult must continually monitor their child and how their body is responding. If any signs of discomfort are observed the child and responsible adult must leave the sauna immediately.
* Please do not bring children in the sauna who have an infection or fever.
Recommendations for families
* Children should step outside to aid cooling or splash with water within the sauna space.
* Children should be encouraged to drink plenty of water or even juice during their session, to maintain their body’s water content.
* Smaller children should sit on the lower benches and where possible, away from the stove. The rocks and flue of the stove are incredibly hot and would cause severe burning if touched.
* Children should be encouraged to wear a sauna hat to minimize the chances of overheating.
