Four women. Wasps. Cupboards made of cardboard. Wasp jokes. A kitchen that isn’t quite a kitchen. Alma, Connie, Dana, and Beth are living together in their forties, in the wake of failed marriages and career compromises, they try to look towards the next parts of their lives. It wasn’t part of the plan to find their way back to each other. In their cosily surreal house, they navigate relationships, love and the occasional run-in with doggers – but as an incessant buzzing begins to taunt them, patience wears thin and, soon, something has to break.
