Pillock
Pillock has ADHD. His brain works faster than his bowel when he's had a
Babybel. And he's lactose intolerant. He's trying to keep his head above
water; but he's drowning in loneliness, hook-up culture and medical role
plays. He feels stagnant and it's going to take more than a yoga class to
help. But, when he meets Eugene everything changes. The universe keeps
bringing them together like in a Brontë novel. But will he be Mr Right, Mr
Right Now or even Mr Wrong? Pillock wants to trust his gut, but his can't
even handle a Muller Corner.

4 out of 5 stars
Saw on 5/8. Excellent, virtuoso performance in a well-written play. Some characters were a bit predictable but overall a good show with a performance full of vivacity and energy.

From the minute it starts the audience is asked to buckle up as a search for love, livelihood, and a cure for loneliness unfold in the the most messy human way imaginable. As Pillock craves connection the lengths he will go to to find it -- almost losing himself in the process -- make for an emotional whirlwind that pivots with whiplash precision from raucous laughter to gritty heartbreak. Peppered with nostalgic cultural references delivered with pointed urgency and an energy that never lets up, it's a show that will stick with you for all the right reasons. Do yourself a favour and go see this one.
