I love Reuben so much, but this show didn't hit the mark I'm afraid. While it's important to raise the issue of homophobia, an entire hour of nothing else felt more like a TedTalk than a Cabaret. The fun, lightheartedness of his past performances was missing.And you could tell the audience was quite bummed out during and after the show. He confused AUS geography and names, and it all felt a bit rocky and unpolished, which is a bit of a downer, given that this show was running for a while in Australia.
